Network Cooking Shows
Pioneer Woman was the show that I watched and the first thing I noticed is that there was no mention of food safety at all honestly. She made a cake for two of the boys birthdays and she didn't mention not leaving the perishable ingredients out for long periods. She did not keep a clean space at all leaving the mixing part of the machine just sitting on the counter. There was no mention of proper refrigeration or anything else. She never washed her hands on screen before starting to cook either. Although I'm sure they met these standards off screen without including it in the show there's no reinforcement or education on safety provided for those who are watching the program.
