Question 1: What bad food safety practices did you notice in watching the network food shows?
I watched the food chopped. Since this show is a timed competitive show they are in a hurry to get their items cooked, plated, and to the judges. I saw a few things. When cooking meat they did not use a thermometer to see if it was cooked all the way through. When it got to the judges it wasn't cooked all the way and this chef lost this round. In addition, I never saw them wash their hands, but this could just be the "magic of television". You never know by just watching what happens off of the screen.
